In this review, I take a close look at the 410 MERV 11 collapsible air filters. These filters arrive collapsed in a box, making storage much easier compared to standard filters. It's crucial to verify your April Air furnace model matches these filters, as the actual dimensions differ slightly from the nominal size.
Understanding Nominal vs. Actual Dimensions
These particular air filters are designed for a certain model of furnace made by April Air. They say they're 16 by 25 by 4, and they kind of are, but you got to look closely at the dimensions.
The dimension you're going to want to pay attention to is actually the dimension going this way. If I put my tape measure on this end of the plastic over here and measure all the way to the other side, it's actually 27 3/4, not 25.
- Nominal size: 16x25x4
- Actual width: 27 3/4 inches
- Correct thickness: 4 inches
Verifying Your Furnace Model
It's important to make sure that your model is gonna match this, because they say 16 by 25 by 4, but that's not actually what it is.
You want to double check and make sure that your model number of your furnace is going to match this model number of this air filter when you're purchasing these.
- Check your April Air furnace model number
- Confirm compatibility with 410 MERV 11 Air Filter, 16x25x4
- Avoid purchasing mismatched filters
Storage Advantages of Collapsible Design
These are the collapsible ones. They arrive in a box, they're collapsed.
The nice thing about it is they actually arrive like this, so you can store them much more easily than our standard 16 by 25 by 4 filter that take up a lot of space when you're storing them.
- Compact storage solution
- Arrives collapsed in a box
- More space-efficient than standard filters
Who this is for
